When Jessica Williams found herself dissatisfied with what she felt was a lack of understanding for her profession and poor quality of service within the recruitment industry, she was determined to make a change. With a highly successful career under her belt, the former PA decided to utilize her skills and expertise to set up a Recruitment Company specializing in the supply of support professionals that would provide the quality of service to both clients and candidates alike, that she felt was sorely missing, and in January 2016 Jessica launched Sidekicks.
In just 16 months Sidekicks has expanded from a one-woman band working from her bedroom to a fully operational team of 14 with an office on Oxford Street in London.

One of the surprising realizations has been that a lot of companies, particularly big ones, don’t pay their bills on time.
As an entrepreneur, it’s sort of like having children, you would do anything to make sure your staff are ok.
Words of Wisdom:
- Responding to emails isn’t working!
- You need to make sure you have good routines in place
- Don’t worry about other peoples’ success, just focus on your own
If things don’t go well, it doesn’t matter because you go to bed and you start again the next day, and you have a second chance. How cool is that!
