Margaret Bell
I’m the kind of person you’ll find lost in a good book in an old bookshop, picnicking in a cemetery, or deep in an anime or horror binge at midnight. I’ve spent more than 25 years in human services, and honestly, those things are more connected than they might seem.
I work with deeply feeling, socially conscious souls who are committed to healing themselves and their communities.
I believe horror is one of the most honest languages we have for grief and mental health. It names the things we’re afraid to say out loud, and it doesn’t look away. Neither do I.
Outside the therapy room? I write, take photos, and listen to my latest music obsession on repeat, usually something hard, heavy, and loud. I share my home with three senior pets, two dogs and a cat, who have collectively decided that my lap is always available. I keep a running list of movies I’ll never get through.
I believe being truly seen changes everything. That’s what I’m here for.
Professional Background & Training
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Somatic Practitioner, and Certified Thanatologist, I specialize in grief, loss, death, dying, and bereavement, the experiences that crack us open. I also hold a post-graduate certificate in Transpersonal Therapy, weaving dreams, shadow work, and mythology into the healing process. With over 25 years in this work, has taught me that grief is not a problem to be solved, and that our darkest experiences are often the ones that we most need to be witnessed and honored, held and tended.
