Meet The Expert
Denise Neumann-Fuhr
My work is grounded in psychospiritual and transpersonal realms of thought, practice, and worldviews derived from several sources including Jungian Psychology, and Indigenous, Yogic, Buddhist, Taoist, and Christian and gnostic wisdom traditions. Formal training acquired includes Transpersonal Psychology (MA, 2009) and Transformational Coaching (Certified 2010). Shadow work stems from this field of study as does a deeper understanding of the language of the transpersonal. This manifests through symbolic vision, dreamwork and the recognition of archetypal patterns, all of which inform what I do at a very deep level. I’m simply wired to see the connections.
Adding to this transpersonal mix, is training and explorations in somatic, compassion, mindfulness, sacred sounds, and psychedelic ceremonies, as well as divine feminine & goddess history. This combination offers incredible depth and support to my work while simultaneously expanding my own consciousness. These acquired and innate insights, alongside decades of experience as a nurse / nurse educator, coach and ceremonialist help me to walk the Middle Way between the transpersonal and the challenging reality of this embodied life.

What I'm Known For
Philosophy
I endeavor to make the work of healing and self-discovery a sacred journey where the path of inner transformation is approached with a curious mind, a compassionate heart, and a non-judgmental attitude. We are so much more than we think – so much more than our stories.
Informed by a blend of academic, experiential, and intuitive understandings, I help clients to gently explore their inner terrain; to study and discover the core beliefs and unmet needs that keep them estranged from their true selves. It is mindful and loving; it is spacious in its unfolding. This is sacred work. This is about reclaiming all of who you are.
Whether attending a private coaching session or participating in a ceremonial circle, the work of healing requires courage and trust. It asks us to lean into the dark places within that hold the forbidden material that we’ve shuttered away for safety’s sake. This is difficult and rewarding work. To know ourselves in our vast complexity is to own and discover our light, our shadow, and the hidden gifts within each.
I know this place. I have navigated this terrain for many years. It is the journey of the awakening soul and it is my life’s work. Ideally, a client exploring this path will be someone yearning for deeper meaning in their life. They may be new to this road or a well seasoned traveler looking for something not yet understood or attained. Regardless of your level of experience, the only pre-requisite is this:
Be curious and open to new possibilities and new ways of seeing and being in the world. If you can do that, you can begin to shift how you BE in your life. You can begin to make it sacred.
